Merlin is one of the most legendary magicians from Avalon.

His real name is Nama`Ba`Shama. He was the teacher of King Arthur and is likely a creation of Geoffrey of Monmouth. Merlin is the son of an incubus, a fallen angel, and a Demetier princess who was also a nun, possibly a king or a god.

In other stories, he is said to have been created from the Cornish-Celtic goddess of nature, Mab.

In Arthurian legend, he is believed to have been involved in the union of Arthur's parents.

He guides heroes and instructs them to seek the Holy Grail.
